Morning Dave,,

Sorry about the delay,, got called into work on Friday night and didn't get home till late last night..... Hey ho

So.. Sunday 9th Feb.. Based at and starting from the auction mart, Thirsk again. We re doing 2 loops of 3 stages this year.. With first and last stage running in opposite directions..

1st stage (Wass moor) will be good and plenty of fast viewing.. Spectator stage with easy access so need lots of people running it.. Then once the closer is through after the 1st run,, the stage is turned around and runs in the opposite direction so essentially anyone marshaling will get 2 different stages without needing to move at all..... The only downside is that there's a large gap between the runs...... There is however a butty van just at the mid point of the stage in the Spectator car park if anyone wants it....

2nd stage is Cropton.. I believe there's some of your guys already heading there so I'd rather anyone else went to the other 2...there will be few minutes gap between runs here but nothing much... I think I'm due in for my 2nd run around 5 mins behind last car of the 1st run!!!

3rd stage is Gale Rigg (opposite Cropton and just above Stape, Pickering) Fast flowing but also quite a technical stage.. Again runs twice with only a small gap between.. Gale Rigg traditionally is quite a wet and muddy stage so I'd like as many 4x4 vehicles as poss in there to make things a bit easier for the stage commander.. There's a few junctions that are nt ideal for a normal car so these could be filled by 4x4s.

At no point will anyone need to do any kind of recovery work or anything like off road driving as we d know it... Whilst on the stage you are nt insured to do either.(please take note)

Anyone interested can e mail me at
marshals@riponian.co.uk and I ll allocate accordingly....

Web address for the online marshals training is

https://www.motorsportuk.org/volunte...hals-training/

would prefer them to be accredited but its not mandatory at the moment..

Cheers Dave

Mark
