A Warning has been issued for the following regions
- Grampian (Yellow)
- Central, Tayside & Fife (Amber)
- Strathclyde (Yellow)
- Northern Ireland (Yellow)
- SW Scotland, Lothian Borders (Amber)
- North East England (Yellow)
Heavy and persistent rain is likely during Saturday across the extreme northeast of England along with parts of southern and eastern Scotland and the east of Northern Ireland. The heaviest and most persistent rain is expected to affect parts of southeast Scotland.
The public should be prepared for the likelihood of surface water flooding and some disruption to travel and outdoor activities, particularly in the Amber warning area.
