- Heavy Snow
For the following areas
- Cumbria (Severe)
- Derbyshire (Severe)
- Durham (Severe)
- N Yorkshire (Severe)
- Northumberland (Severe)
- S Yorkshire (Severe)
- W Yorkshire (Severe)
There is the potential for heavy snow to affect hillier parts of
northern England and the north Midlands during Saturday morning.
Snow accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are possible above 300 metres. Some
slushy deposits may affect lower levels for a time to the east of
the Pennines. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to
the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on
motorways and trunk roads.
