An Alert has been issued for the following regions
- North West England (Amber)
- Yorkshire & Humber (Amber)
- Northern Ireland (Yellow)
- South West England (Yellow)
- SW Scotland, Lothian Borders (Yellow)
- East Midlands (Yellow)
- West Midlands (Yellow)
- Wales (Yellow)
- Strathclyde (Yellow)
- North East England (Amber)
A further area of heavy and persistent rain is likely to spread from the east into parts of northern England, south and southeastern Scotland and the east of Northern Ireland. Meanwhile the remains of Friday's heavy rainfall will pivot, to threaten parts of southwest England.
The public should be prepared for surface water flooding, particularly in the Amber area, where there is an increasing likelihood of river flooding, disruption to travel and outdoor activities.
